Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of PlanGuard. By requesting an account or using PlanGuard, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, your company.

1. Purpose

PlanGuard is a construction project tool for marking issues on plans, coordinating work, reviewing project information, and supporting workflows that may include 3D models.

2. Free Access and Client Accounts

PlanGuard is currently provided free of charge. Access is not automatic: client accounts are created manually after a request is sent to imslowpoke@gmail.com. We may accept, decline, suspend, or limit an account request when reasonably necessary to operate or protect the service.

3. Authorized Use

You may use PlanGuard only for lawful business purposes and only for projects and information you are authorized to access. You must not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, misuse another user’s account, or use PlanGuard to violate applicable law or third-party rights.

4. Client Content

You retain ownership of plans, models, issue data, images, comments, documents, and other content you provide. You grant us the limited permission necessary to host, process, display, and transmit that content to provide and support PlanGuard. You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, permissions, backups, and confidentiality requirements of your content.

5. Construction Decisions

PlanGuard is a coordination and information tool. It does not replace professional engineering judgment, site inspections, safety procedures, contractual documentation, regulatory approvals, or the work of qualified construction professionals. Clients remain responsible for all project and safety decisions.

6. Intellectual Property

PlanGuard’s software, interface, branding, documentation, and original materials are owned by us or our licensors. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no intellectual property rights are transferred to you.

7. Availability and Changes

We may update, test, modify, limit, or discontinue features as the project develops. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every file or 3D model, or permanent storage of client content.

8. Disclaimer and Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlanGuard is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, delays, construction decisions, or loss of project data arising from use of or inability to use PlanGuard. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

9. Privacy

Use of PlanGuard is also governed by the PlanGuard Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as PlanGuard develops. The current version and effective date will be posted on this page. Continued use after an update means acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
